McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II (eng. McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II ) — attack aircraft vertical takeoff and landing. It is in service with the us marine Corps, as well as the Spanish and Italian naval forces. Its first flight took place on November 9, 1978.
The AV-8B Harrier II is used to carry out all types of air attacks: bombing from a horizontal flight, from a dive and from a dive. Uses conventional and cluster bombs, laser-guided bombs, special bombs and guided missiles. The machine is able to conduct combat operations under favorable weather in the daytime and at night.
