the A-7E is equipped with a fleet version of the Allison/Rolls-Royce TF41-A-2 engine giving the aircraft a speed of 693 mph (1115 km/h) at sea level. The main armament remained the same as on the A-7D - gun M61A1 Vulcan with 1000 rounds in the drum located behind the cockpit. In addition to the gun A-7E can carry various outboard weapons as: AIM-9 Sidewinder AAM, AGM-65A Maverick, AGM-45 Shrike, AGM-84 Harpoon and AGM-88A Harm. It is also possible to use nuclear weapons.
