the FJ-4B was a variant of the FJ-4 adapted to attack ground targets, the aircraft was built in larger numbers than the original FJ-4. The concept is similar to the F-86H Sabre, although there was no direct relationship between the projects other than common origin. The FJ-4B differs from the FJ-4 in increasing its outboard weapon points to six, allowing it to lift up to 6,000 pounds of fuel, missiles, or bombs.
