Beech Model 18, nicknamed Twin Beech, was a light twin-engine passenger aircraft designed for 6-8 seats. The first flight took place in January 1937. With the entry of the United States into world war II, the air force began to feel the need for this type of aircraft, in connection with which, in 1943, the company Beechcraft was issued an order for the production of 1522 aircraft of an improved model C18S, from December 1944 the designation was replaced by C-45F. Expeditor II – the name used in the Royal air force and Navy of great Britain, from 1944 to 1945 the United States provided the country with 348 C-45F under the lend-lease program.
