Do 17 became the embodiment of the popular in the 30-ies of the concept of "Schnellbomber" (high-speed bomber). From 1939 to 1940, about 500 do 17Z-1 and Do 17Z-2 bombers were produced. The aircraft was used in all operations of the Luftwaffe 1939-1941 – in the Polish and French campaign, in the battle of Britain, the Balkans and the Soviet-German front.
