Additional Information
Fighter I-5 had a mixed design: part of the nodes - metal, part - wood. The fuselage frame was welded from steel pipes of variable cross-section. In order to improve the streamlining of the aircraft on the tubular basis of the frame, the outer frame of duralumin profiles was riveted. In the nose of the fuselage, supporting stringers and frames made of steel tubes were installed.
