Additional Information

single-Engine army fighter Kawasaki Ki-10, type 95, model II, Kawasaki Ki-10-II (Type 95-II, code name "Perry").  The first serial Ki-10 fighters began to enter the army in December 1935. Military pilots praised the speed and rate of climb of the new fighter. Soon, however, to Kawasaki from combat units began to receive persistent requests to improve the horizontal maneuverability of the machine. In Japanese aviation during this period dominated the view that the fighter must first meet the requirements of highly maneuverable melee turns on the type of "dog dump" (dog fight) during the First world war. In addition, the Ki-10 there was a lack of directional stability, which hampered the accurate aiming and firing.
