the New Yak-7B differed from the Yak-7A in its more powerful engine, enhanced armament and aerodynamic improvements. Armament consisted of 20 mm motor-gun ShVAK and two 12.7 mm UBS machine guns. The second mass of the volley reached 2.72 kg/s and exceeded the characteristics of the Soviet Yak-1, Yak-7A, LaGG-Z, MiG-Z and La-5 1.5 — 2 times, and the German fighters Me-109F — 2.87 times, Me-109G-2 — 1.62 times.
