This plane was created in order to warfare in local conflicts (especially in Vietnam). He was given the following main tasks: reconnaissance, target designation, coverage of the battlefield, support and defense of helicopters, adjustment of artillery fire, guidance of tactical aircraft on ground targets, aviation support of troops and communications.
