the su-7B Fighter-bomber was developed by p. O. Sukhoi on the basis of the su-7 front-line fighter. The design task of the aircraft was received in March 1958. On the fighter-bomber, it was decided to install THE al-7F-1 engine with 40% boost. Due to the use of a larger afterburner, the tail part of the fuselage received a characteristic "bloat". The nose of the fuselage was extended and equipped with anti-surge doors (automatically opened at supersonic speeds).
