After the Bf 109, the Fw 190 was the second standard Luftwaffe fighter. The aircraft was very durable, and effective in performing a variety of tasks. Fighter-bomber Fw190 F-8 produced in large quantities since the beginning of 1944. The "F" series was developed in 1943 specifically for ground attacks. The bomb load of 700 kg could be suspended on five points.
