EC135 P2 has been produced by Eurocopter since 2002. The helicopter is noted for its high economic efficiency and low noise. In 2011, the Franco-German company delivered the thousandth EC135 to ADAC , Germany's largest rescue organization. In the first half of 2013, the "yellow angels" (nicknamed for their characteristic colors) performed about 25,500 flights and assisted about 23,000 people. EC135 P2 D-HBYF has been used by the company since March 2011.
