Gliderplane DUO DISCUS is a standard class sports glider developed by German firm Schempp-Hirth. He made his first flight approximately in 1998. Standard elements of the fuselage stabilizer with a wide chord and a thin section, and made of fiber composite materials. Horizontal tail stabilizer, designed as a three-layer structure of fiberglass/foam, has in terms of the form of a double trapezoid, as well as a thinner aerodynamic profile.
