Bristol "Beaufighter" – one of the most successful and widely used twin-engine fighters of the Second world war. The first production Beaufighter MK.1 entered service in September 1940. Four 20mm cannons in the bow and six machine guns in the wings made it the most heavily armed RAF fighter of world war II.
