Additional Information
despite the somewhat dismissive attitude towards Italian troops, the Italian campaign cost the lives of 60,000 allies and 50,000 Germans, making it more expensive than any Western European campaign. The Italian campaign began on 10 July 1943 with the invasion of Sicily and continued with the eighth British army's invasion of Italy's "Shoe" on 3 September. The campaign came to a logical conclusion only by the signing of the end of the war on 8 may 1945. Figures reproduce soldiers of the British colonies fought in the Italian theater. Troops in British equipment can represent immigrants from the UK, Poland, Canada, New Zealand or South Africa. The set represents six soldiers, four of them wearing shorts, marching through the dusty mountains around 1943. The soldiers are mostly armed with Lee Enfield No rifles. 4 Mk. 1, as well as Bren and Thompson M1928A1. Every soldier has a complete outfit exactly as reflected in the scale. Their poses are natural, and details are precisely executed in plastic. The set has great potential for modifications, figures can be used in other theaters or be assembled from suitable parts for different versions of poses.
Caution! Glue and paints are not included.
