history:

British army Sappers are descended from the trenches of the First World War. Positions on all fronts were dug trenches, made barbed wire and antitank hedgehogs. The second World War the British engineer parts met are ready and capable, however, because of the mistakes of the command, instead of trench warfare, the outbreak of the blitzkrieg the German army. Despite the heavy losses at the beginning of the war in France, British sappers acted very effectively and have repeatedly been awarded and praised by the high command.
