In 2005, it was decided to resume the development of the second generation su-35 (Product T-10BM). In the series, this aircraft will be called su-35 (previously used the designation su-35BM "Big Upgrade"). Su-35 - deeply modernized super-maneuverable multi-role fighter generation "4++". It uses the technology of the fifth generation, providing superiority over the fighters of the same class. The distinctive features of the aircraft are a new avionics system based on a digital information and control system that integrates onboard equipment, a new radar station (radar) with a phased array antenna with a long range of detection of air targets with an increased number of simultaneously accompanied and fired targets, new engines with increased thrust and rotary thrust vector. The su-35 made its first flight in February 2008.
