the English carrier-based torpedo bomber FAE Barracuda made its first flight in December 1940. In may 1942, its serial production was launched, and since January 1943, the aircraft began to enter the combat units. They took part in military operations since November, 1943. In April-August 1944, aircraft of this type struck a number of attacks on the German battleship "Tirpitz". In total, during the Second world war 2607 "Barracudas" of three modifications were built.
