American medium bomber Martin 167 "Maryland" was developed in the second half of 1930s and first saw action in August 1939 was in the air force of great Britain, France and the Union of South Africa. Maryland aircraft took part in a number of world war II campaigns, including battles in France in 1940, then in the middle East, the Mediterranean and North Africa. In total, more than 330 aircraft of this type were built.
