the high-Speed SB aircraft was the most massive Soviet bomber by the beginning of the great Patriotic war. Serial production of these machines began in 1936 and was completed in 1941. It was also produced in Czechoslovakia under the designation B-71. SAT was used in Spain, China, Khalkhin Gol, during the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-40. SB bombers were widely used at the initial stage of the great Patriotic war. In total, 6 831 SB aircraft of various modifications were made.
