the An-28 was developed in the 1960s to replace older An-2 aircraft on local airlines. Flight tests in the USSR were completed in 1972. In 1978 the decision was made to transfer series production aircraft of the Polish company PZL - Mielec. The first flight of the Polish-made aircraft took place on July 22, 1984. In February 1986, the aircraft was certified according to domestic airworthiness standards. Produced 191 aircraft.
the Main Park of the An-28 was delivered to the USSR for operation in the Northern and far Eastern regions of the country. Short takeoff and landing distances, good lifting speed, the ability to operate in mountainous terrain and at low temperatures - the main characteristics of the An-28.
