American pilots (especially those who flew it) gave Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk a very different name: Wobblin' Goblin, which literally can be translated as "lame Goblin". This unflattering nickname clearly shows the attitude of pilots to the flight characteristics of the F-117 Nighthawk.

According to the developers, the technology "stealth" was to deceive the enemy air defense system.
