P-39N - was built in 2095 copies of three variants. This number includes I00 aircraft transferred from the order to the P-39G, and a new contract for 995 fighters. The first series (a total of 166 machines of type N-0) were equipped with motors V-1710-85. The latter differed from the V-1710-83 gearbox with a different gear ratio; the speed on the output shaft decreased, and the power remained the same. But the screw was different: the diameter of 3.53 m (0.36 m more old).
