32007 1/32 ICM I-16 type 24, Soviet pilots (1939-1942)

Additional Information

Type 24 was a further modification of type 18, according to the strength standards of 1937.

Main changes:
-VISH set "AV-1" and the new Kok-fairing;
-motor is equipped with a regulator of the constancy of the speed of "P-2", enabling the pilot to hold the desired number of revolutions;
-supplied strut chassis with dwutlenkiem, instead of the formerly used spline connection. At the same time, the shock absorption efficiency is increased, the shock absorber stroke is increased to 96 mm compared to 30-36 mm in the previous version;
-the crutch on type 24 has acquired a small wheel and oil-pneumatic cushioning;
-landing flaps with mechanical control are introduced. The handle was located to the left behind the pilot's seat;
-installed the second tailgate of the cockpit on the right side. Although the tailgate on the right side was officially introduced on the type 24, there was a similar improvement on other types;
-the aircraft is equipped with a manual start system from the starter handle "RI". The handle in the stowed position, stored in the cockpit, when starting, was inserted to the right into a special fuselage opening;

-on the right side of the fuselage between frames № 7 and № 8 cut the hatch for the radio.
