the all-Weather fighter and attack aircraft F-A-18 Hornet is a very versatile combat aircraft capable of performing a wide range of roles including fleet protection, closed air support, prohibition, fighter escort, enemy air defense suppression, and reconnaissance. It was developed by McDonnell Douglas and Northrop in response to the us Navy's call for a modern carrier replacement for the F-4 Phantom II and A-4 Skyhawk. First deployed in 1983, the hornets served in operation desert Storm and the Iraq war, and since 1987 have equipped a fleet squadron squadron, better known as the Blue angels.Caution!
