Additional Information
the A-10 Thunderbolt II was developed by Fairchild Republic in the 70s at the request of the US air force, which needed a powerful aircraft for short-range fire support, including attacks on tanks and other enemy armored vehicles. Thunderbolt II is heavily armed and has excellent survivability. The characteristic features of the aircraft are two turbofan engine General Electric and one of the most powerful guns ever built for the aircraft: 30 mm. GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling. Thanks to eleven ventral and underwing suspension points, the attack aircraft has impressive offensive weapons. The a-10 for the first time were widely used in the Gulf War which showed the higher efficiency of destroying more than 900 enemy tanks.
