Additional Information
Douglas's A-4 was developed as a jet attack aircraft to replace the archaic "A-1 Skyraider" with a piston engine. Douglas provided the design to minimize the weight, complexity and size of the machine. As a result, the aircraft was so light that it weighed only half of the specification presented by the Navy. The size of the aircraft allowed to store it on the deck without the need to fold the wings. Modification A-4F had improved avionics (located in the characteristic "hump") and a more powerful engine compared to the A-4E. Built 147 copies, some were used aerobatic group "Blue Angels" with 1973 on 1986.
This model has a highly detailed engine, cab and chassis compartment. The flaps take a different position.
