Swordfish (swordfish) is a torpedo boat built by the Fairey Aviation Company and used by the Royal Navy air force during the Second world war. Already by 1939, the aircraft was considered obsolete, but during the war it achieved significant success, including the destruction of Regia Marina (Italian Navy), Taranto attacks, and the famous raids on Bismarck led to its significant damage. The aircraft was designed as an anti-submarine, but by the end of the war it was used against submarines and as a training one. Almost 2,400 aircraft were built, the most common is a modification of the Mark II, the aircraft of this version was made 1080 units.
