Eurofighter Typhoon is a fourth-generation multipurpose fighter. Designed and manufactured by a consortium of three separate firms. Serial production of aircraft is currently carried out in different versions, for each of the consortium members, while the contractor companies produce units for each of the 620 ordered aircraft. It is in service with the UK, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain and other countries. Saudi Arabia signed a contract for the purchase of 72 aircraft for ￡4.43 billion.
