Additional Information
the F8F Bearcat was the last of Grumman's piston-engined fighters. Two xf8f-1 prototypes were ordered in November 1943, and the first was launched on 21 August 1944. Grumman again decided to use the most powerful engine available at the time - a double wasp Pratt & Whitney R-2800 - the same engine that powered their Hellcat and Tigercat. This time the engine was mounted on the smallest, lightest glider that could be built. This led to the creation of a fast aircraft of high maneuverability with a set speed 30% higher than that of the Hellcat.< / p>Внимание! Клей и краски в набор модели не входит.
