Mi-28N is designed for combat operations at night or in adverse weather conditions. The helicopter made its first flight in November 1996. In this modification of the machine, the blades are completely made of composite materials and withstand the ingress of 30 mm shells. The helicopter is equipped with new electronic combat control equipment. For night flights, the crew is equipped with night vision devices.
