In the next version of the T37-II tower installed a new form with a reinforced mask. The machine was equipped with a gun stabilization system and a rangefinder, as well as improved racks for combat. On the modification T37-III, which later became the light tank M41, automation has reached a new level: you installed the autoloader, and gun stabilization were replaced by new ones made by IBM.
In 1950, the machine was adopted under the M41 Little Bulldog index, but later, after the death in Korea as a result of a car accident of General W. Walker, it was renamed Walker Bulldog.
