< p>Kaunas bus factory, CAG is a factory in Kaunas, Lithuanian SSR, which produced more than 12,000 buses from 1956 to 1979, most of which are based on the GAZ-51 truck. The factory was founded in the old Ford workshop, which was nationalized after the occupation of Lithuania by the Soviet Union.< / p>In the mid 50's was created by the bus model CAG-3. On the extended front and rear chassis of the GAZ-51 truck was installed a frame of ash and beech, outside sheathed with tin, and inside-a multilayer dark brown aviation plywood. The cabin had 23 seats and 7 standing seats.< / p>
