the BMW R12 was the most popular German motorcycle during world war II. Between 1936-1942, 36,000 of these motorcycles were produced. However, he began his career before the war as a civilian motorcycle, later modified for service in the Wehrmacht and other German army formations. The military version is armed with MG-34 machine gun. BMW R12 participated in the battles in almost all theaters of war, except for the Pacific ocean.
