Type 94 The design of the tank was based on the famous cardena Loyd design and was commissioned by the Japanese Imperial Army in 1935. Tanks of this type were supposed to function as reconnaissance vehicles, but were actually also used as tractors (among other ammunition trailers) or infantry support. Type 94 tanks were used during the second Sino-Japanese war, the battle of Khalkhin Gol and world war II. These tanks were effective against Chinese troops, but their armor was too weak for the conditions of the Pacific war.
