40M / 41M Turan was a Hungarian medium tank. Its design was based on the prototype of the Czech tanker prototype created by Skoda. The 40M Turan I, armed with a 40mm gun, was released between 1941 and 1943, with a total of 285 tanks built. Production of the updated version (up to 75 mm gun) - 41 M Turan II began in 1943. 139 of these vehicles were completed before the Soviet invasion of Hungary. The 43M Turan III was the prototype of tanks armed in a long barrel with a 75mm cannon, as well as with side skirts from the start. Only one Turan III tank was built.
