Tank Crusader (Crusader) would be one of the main weapons of the British in the fighting in the early stages of the Second world war. While early versions of the tank were used in campaigns in France and Greece, the MKIII proved indispensable in North Africa, where the vast expanses of the desert made speed an important factor in tank combat.
the High mobility of the cruiser tank and the powerful weapon made Crusader a worthy opponent of the Panzer III and IV. However, this situation did not last long, the Germans increased the armor and firepower of their machines. Especially with the introduction of the tank Tiger in 1943 Crusader began to recede into the background such lend-lease tanks as M3 Grant and M4 Sherman. Nevertheless, the chassis continued to be used for mobile air defense guns until the end of the war, where its reliability and speed were again useful.
