Dana was developed for the Czechoslovak army in the late 1970s, instead of purchasing the Soviet 2C3 acacia. The Tatra 815 (8x8) is used as the chassis. ACS was adopted in 1981. By 1994, more than 750 units were produced. The tower is divided into two parts with the gun between them. The rotation of the tower is limited to 225 degrees in each direction. The gun has a fully automatic loading system. All optical devices and crew members are located in the left part of the tower, in the right part there is a charging system and 60 shells. At the moment, Dana is in service with the Czech Republic, Libya, Poland and Slovakia.
