Panzer I Ausf F was developed as an infantry support tank, the maximum armor reached 80mm, the tank was armed with two mg-34 7.92 caliber machine guns. Thirty pieces were produced in 1940, the order for the next 100 cars was canceled. To compensate for the increased weight, a new 150 HP Maybach HL45 engine was installed. it allowed to reach a speed of 25 km/h. Eight of the thirty tanks produced were transferred to the First Tank Division and were used during the Battle of Kursk. The rest were used as training.
