GCT 155mm AUF1 is based on the chassis of the French OBT AMX30 and is armed with a 155 mm gun with a barrel length of 39 calibers. The automatic loading system provides a maximum rate of fire of 8 rounds per minute, the constant rate of fire is 6 shots per minute. On the roof there is a 12.7 mm air defense machine gun. AUF1 has an effective range of 23,500 meters firing rocket projectiles increases the range of up to 28,000 metres. The first serial AUF1 were delivered to Saudi Arabia, France received the first ACS only in 1980. The GTC 155mm AUF1 is equipped with 18 guns each. Some of the GTC 155 AUF1 were received by the Iraqi army and were used in the Iran-Iraq war.
