Panzerkampfwagen IV was developed by Krupp-Grusion as a 20-ton medium support tank, with more than 12,000 Pz manufactured from October 1937 to the end of the war.Kpfw. IV. A characteristic feature of Ausf.B and C had sight devices in place of the machine gun and some other differences. The frontal armor was made of solid steel plate with observation devices for the driver and radio operator. One of the characteristic features of tanks Ausf modifications.B and C had a special shape of the air intake for additional protection of the engine.
