KrAZ-260 production began some time in the early 1980s, when it replaced the earlier KrAZ-255B on the production lines of the Kremenchug automobile plant. The normal body uses a normal cargo body with a rear door covered with a normal tilt over the bows. Winch is a standard reinforcement under the load case and can be used for forward or backward recovery including self-recovery.
