the 75mm Panzerabwehrkanone Pak 40 was put into service in early 1941 and became the standard anti-tank gun of the German army. Despite the lower power than the famous "88" gun was successfully used on all fronts. The installation was relatively easy, only 1500 kg, easy to operate, was able to penetrate 70 mm armor at a distance of 2000 meters. After a small modification, the gun was used on self-propelled units such as Marder, Stug III and Hetzer.
