The BRC-40 was the final evolution of Bantam's design. The army ordered 1,500 cars , but 2605 were collected. Bantam ceased production of cars after the last one was assembled in December 1941 and was further engaged in the construction of trailers, motors and hoists. BRC-40 had many good qualities and was popular in allied forces; light weight and handling are worthy of special mention. Not less than 100 copies of the BRC-40 is preserved.
