Additional Information
the M3 Lee, officially the Medium Tank, M3, was an American medium tank used during world war II. In Britain, the tank was called by two names depending on the configuration of the turret and the size of the crew. Tanks, which used the tower of the Americas, was called "Lee", named in honor of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Variants using British turrets were known as the "Grant", named after Union General Ulysses S. Grant.< / p> the M3 had considerable firepower and good armor, but had serious flaws in its overall design and shape, including a tall silhouette, an archaic sponson mount on the main gun preventing the tank from taking a position at the bottom of the hull, a riveted design, and poor positioning.< / p> the M3 Lee was also an analogue of the M3 Stuart light tank.< / p>Caution!
