ISU-152 was used in separate heavy self-propelled shelves. Each regiment was armed with 21 self-propelled guns consisting of 4 batteries of 5 cars, plus one commander. Heavy ACS intended for destruction of field and long-term fortifications, fight against tanks at long distances, support of infantry and tanks in approach. Combat experience has shown that the ISU-152 can successfully solve all these problems.
