the Two-ton trucks produced by Opel (a subsidiary of GM® since 1931) were one of the most popular vehicles in the German army. The main reason for this popularity was the simple availability of this car. In Brandenburg there was a completely new Opel plant created in 1935 for the purpose of construction of trucks and those trucks which first of all went into service of the German army.
