the Kubelwagen was originally designed as a civilian car, but after German militaristic expansion and mobilization in the late 1930s, a military version was created.  After Kubelwagen Type 62, an improved model designated Type 82 entered mass production in 1940. Kubelwagen Type 82 was distinguished by a reliable 4-cylinder air-cooled engine with horizontal resistance, designed for 23.5 HP at 3000 rpm and providing a maximum speed of 80 km / h. By the end of the war, more than 50,000 cars were produced.  Kubelwagen Type 82 was used for intelligence and communication.
