Until the 60s, the Jeep remained the main SAS vehicle until it was replaced by a Land Rover. Since 1970, SAS has been using the redesigned MK II long wheelbase conversion, which is recreated in the kit. The modification does not have a windshield, side doors but there are points for placing two General-purpose machine guns. 

the Standard crew consists of three people: the driver, the commander (and the front gunner) and the radio operator (and the rear gunner). Sometimes the team takes fourth person.

At each corner of the machine there are three smoke screen installations, in addition the machine carries a lot of special equipment: a spotlight, tools, depending on the nature of the operation, a radio or other equipment is installed. With additional fuel tanks, the vehicle has a range of 1,100 miles (1,770 km), with all equipment the weight of the machine reaches 3 tons. Land Rover is a standard SAS machine, but other machines can be used depending on the conditions. For desert operations SUVs painted in sand-pink color, close to the color of the local soil, the characteristic color led to the nickname "Pink Panther" (pink Panther).
