Jagdpanzer IV is a tank destroyer based on the Panzer IV using inclined armor and a 7.5 cm gun with a barrel length of 48 calibers. In January 1944, Jagdpanzer IV, it was decided to equip the 7.5 cm anti-tank gun with a barrel length of 70 calibres. A longer gun made it possible to destroy the tanks of the ally at a distance greater than the range of enemy tanks. Hence the name "Lang", which translates into Russian as "long". The designation "V" are assigned to the machines manufactured by the company Vomag. From August 1944 to March 1945, the 930 Jagdpanzer IV /70(V) Lang was built. The advantage of long guns has been used successfully by Germany in the defense and ambushes, even when the situation at the fronts has significantly deteriorated.
